Penis Enlargement Surgery - Everything You Won't Hear From Your Surgeon

If you want to enlarge your penis surgically, be well informed about the possible risks that await you. Once you undergo surgery, your penis will never be the same as it was before surgery (and not always in a good way).

penile enlargement surgery

Does penis enlargement surgery work?

Enlargement surgeries do exactly what the name suggests – they change the normal size of the penis. The results are individual, both from patient to patient and from surgeon to surgeon. These penile surgeries will NOT result in you having the biggest penis in the world, but they can achieve significant enlargement.

Do your research before deciding which genital surgery specialist to entrust your body with.

It is best to have correct information, a positive attitude and realistic expectations before embarking on a penis enlargement procedure, otherwise you may be in for a big disappointment.

The information served to you from web portals influences you to create a false image of your penis size.

A scientific paper published in 2007 in the eminent journal BJU International states that the average length of an erect penis is 14-16 cm, and the circumference is 12-13 cm. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17355371

How does this statement affect you? Do you feel less valuable than average?

The reality is a little different, the average length of an erect penis is 12.5 cm, and all world scientific studies have established a direct connection between the length of the penis and anthropological parameters - height, weight, as well as the ratio of the index finger to the ring finger on a man's hand.

An erect penis with a length of less than 9 cm is considered a small penis, and a penis smaller than 4-5 cm is a micropenis.

Men can quite easily underestimate the size of their penis. To see a realistic picture of your penis, try undressing in front of a mirror. The penis looks much longer and larger when viewed from the side or from below than when viewed from above.

The market of plastic and aesthetic surgery is flooded with advertisements about safe and effective, almost magical methods of penis enlargement. Doctors and surgeons boast of satisfied patients, while no website mentions the very common complications associated with penis size manipulation.

What is the best answer to the question: "How to enlarge your penis?"

Here we will present relevant facts based on over 15 years of experience of our team of urogenital reconstructive surgeons. In our practice, we have encountered many patients who underwent experimental penis enlargement procedures. You may not like what you find out below.

Techniques of surgical penis enlargement - the most common benefits and complications that occur after them

Techniques that increase the length differ from techniques that increase the girth, ie the width of the penis. We won't deal with centimeters because every body is different...

Enlargement of the penis with unregistered non-medical fillers

This is the most dangerous penis enlargement procedure.

Paraffin and petroleum jelly injected under the skin of the penis always cause complications: bumps, bumps, infections, gangrene with loss of skin and even the entire penis. After injecting these substances, serious genital reconstructive surgery is almost always required to eliminate the side effects and save the penis from further deterioration.

Increasing the width of the penis with hyaluronic fillers

This is the most practical method of increasing the girth of the penis. 30-50ml of hyaluronic filler is injected into the space under the skin of the penis. An immediate increase in the girth of the penis is achieved, which decreases over time.

The advantage of this procedure is that it can be done on an outpatient basis, under local anesthesia, and if the patient wishes, the process can be repeated in a relatively short period of time, after a few months. The patient goes home immediately after the intervention. The abstinence period after the intervention is about 4 weeks. Also, if the desired aesthetic results are not achieved, the advantage of using hyaluronic fillers is the reversibility of the procedure using an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronan - hyaluronidase.

The disadvantage of this procedure is the loss of symmetry, the appearance of bumps and knots under the skin. After 6 to 12 months, the hyaluronan is resorbed and there is a need for repeated treatment.

Increasing the width of the penis with your own fat - lipofilling

Taking fat is done by liposuction, most often from the pubic region, because in this way the penis can be increased in length. After special processing of the aspirated fat cells, and the addition of PRP, the fat is injected into the space under the skin of the penis using special blunt needles (cannulas).

The advantage of this method is that one's own tissue is used, and the risk of infection is very low. The abstinence period is 4 to 6 weeks

The disadvantage of lipofilling is that it is generally performed under general anesthesia, and the patient recovers in the hospital for up to two days after the operation. The gain in penis size is certainly lost, and already after 4 months of treatment, over 50% of the increase is resorbed - it disappears, and about 12 months after the operation, there is almost no benefit from the increase in penis size. After 6 months, the treatment can be repeated.

Penis enlargement surgery with your own fat is the only one that has a fatal outcome as a complication. This complication is extremely rare, but you must be warned that there are cases of death after penile lipofilling.

Increasing the girth of the penis with a dermal graft

A dermal graft is a part of connective-fatty tissue that is surgically taken mainly from the gluteal region (sometimes also from the pubis). A large piece of dermal fascia with accompanying fat is surgically placed under the skin of the penis.

The advantage of using a dermal graft is the possible long-term result of penis enlargement. This operation is performed under general anesthesia, the hospital recovery period is one to two days.

The disadvantage is the creation of an additional donor site scar on the gluteal or pubic region. The biggest disadvantage of this procedure is uneven union or complete loss of the dermal graft with necrosis under the skin of the penis. Because of this, asymmetry, bumps, knots are created. This procedure cannot be repeated. In case of failure of the procedure, serious reconstructive surgery of the skin of the penis is required.

Enlargement of the penis with biodegradable supports - PGLA scaffolds

The biodegradable support (scaffold) is a laboratory-created polymer in the shape of a cylinder that is surgically implanted under the skin of the penis. Scaffolds are specially prepared before the procedure using serum enriched with platelets (PRP). The degradable scaffolds are gradually replaced by natural tissue under the skin of the penis over the course of 3 to 4 months.

The advantage of the PGLA Scaffold is the permanent result of increasing the girth of the penis. The most important thing is that a symmetrical shape of the penis is obtained without the formation of lumps. If desired, the operation can be repeated after 12 months from the operation, when the results of the operation are duplicated. It is possible to repeat this procedure a maximum of three times.

The disadvantage of the operation is that it is performed under general anesthesia, and you stay in the hospital for one day. Circumcision is performed during the operation. The period of abstinence is 4 months, and if you do not follow the doctor's advice and start sexual relations too early, fluid will accumulate under the skin of the penis - seroma, infection and abscess formation. Reoperation is rarely needed to resolve complications.

Increasing the length of the penis by cutting the suspensory ligaments - ligamentolysis

The logic of this operation is based on the fact that 2-4 cm of the length of the penis is hidden under the skin, fixed to the pubic bone. By cutting the ligaments of the penis, this "hidden length" can be released. As a result, you get a penis that doesn't stand upright when erect, but down, which some men desire. The surgical approach is generally above the penis when performing VY skin plasty in order to additionally elongate the penis aesthetically. An alternative approach is through a scrotal incision, which avoids an obvious scar above the penis.

The advantages of ligamentolysis is the creation of a subjective feeling of a longer penis.

The disadvantages of surgery are work under general anesthesia and post-operative hospital recovery lasting one day. A large percentage of retraction and reduction of the penis after this operation must be prevented by daily use of penile extenders. A scar in the pubic region impairs the aesthetic experience of the penis.

Increasing the length of the penis by liposuction of the pubic region

This procedure is done along with increasing the volume with your own fat cells. Apart from the need for general anesthesia and postoperative recovery, this method rarely causes complications such as edema and hematoma. The disadvantage of the operation is the possibility of re-creation of excess fatty tissue at the liposuction site.

Increasing the length of the penis by surgical removal of pubic fat and excess pubic skin - dermolipectomy

This operation is also called "Mini Tummy Tuck" procedure. By removing excess skin and fatty tissue, the so-called lower abdomen, which covers the body of the penis, complete exposure of the entire length of the penis is achieved. The pubic skin returns to its normal position above the penis.

The advantage is the immediate release of the body of the penis from the fatty tissue that covers it and a dramatic increase in the visible part of the penis. This operation gives permanent results. After surgical removal of skin and fatty tissue, it is impossible to return fat to the pubic region.

Disadvantages of the operation are going under general anesthesia, hospital recovery of two days, noticeable scar on the pubis. After surgery, exercises with a vacuum apparatus must be done to prevent the formation of scars and retraction of the penis. The abstinence period is about 4 to 6 weeks after surgery.

Increasing the length of the penis by reducing the scrotal skin

Scrotal reduction or scrotoplasty is an operation to separate the scrotal skin from the body of the penis, and to form a new relationship in the angle between the penis and the scrotum. The operation is performed when the attachment of the scrotum to the skin of the penis is pronounced. The intervention is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia and there is no hospital recovery. The abstinence period is 4 to 6 weeks.

The advantage of the operation is the immediate lengthening of the lower side of the penis without disturbing the aesthetic appearance of the penis.

The disadvantage of the intervention can be the formation of a scar contracture under the penis towards the scrotum, but this happens very rarely.

Increasing the length and width of the penis by increasing the deep structures of the penis - corporoplasty

This is the so-called real functional and not just cosmetic penis enlargement. Unlike other penis enlargement procedures, here the deep internal structures of the penis are enlarged through radical reconstructive surgical intervention and the use of different implant materials. This procedure is only done in patients with Peyronie's disease or in patients with erectile dysfunction.

The advantage of this procedure is the maximum possibility of real penis enlargement. After this operation, the natural appearance of the penis is achieved. This operation gives permanent results. The abstinence period after these operations is about 5 to 6 weeks.

The disadvantages are the need for general anesthesia and three days of hospital recovery. During these operations, a penile prosthesis must be installed for a fully functional result. These operations must be performed by a specially trained specialist in reconstructive urogenital surgery who has enough experience with implant materials and penile prostheses because the real complication is the destruction of the blood vessels that feed the penis and the loss of the glans penis.

What to expect after male intimate surgery?

Penis enlargement with hyaluronic fillers, liposuction of the pubis, ligamentolysis and lipofilling are the procedures that are most accessible to men due to the large number of doctors who offer these services. The results of volume increase with fillers and lipofilling are not permanent. The procedures can be repeated if the man wishes.

Penis enlargement with PLGA Scaffolds, dermal graft, dermolipectomy, scrotoplasty and corporoplasty, gives permanent results. These are mostly complex urogenital reconstructive procedures that are successfully performed by very few genital surgeons. Therefore, these procedures are not popularized by a wide circle of doctors and are not so easily available to a man who wants to enlarge his penis.

You must know that (depending on the surgical technique) the increase in penis size is cumulative, i.e. it can be repeated several times and each time a man will get a bigger and more permanent result.

Penis enlargement is NOT cumulative, so it can only be done once.
